Terms Of Use

DISCLAIMER

I do my best to provide clear and accurate information and patterns. However, there is always the possibility of error. I am not liable for any loss of time, patience, or fabric due to those errors.

If you find an error, please, let me know and I will rectify it.

Use

The patterns and tutorials provided in my shop and blog are for personal use only. Please do not copy text or pictures, digital or on paper, without permission. Please feel free to share links to patterns and tutorials. You may use a single photograph with a link back to my site. Having quilters visit my site directly, instead of being handed a printout by their friend, allows me to build relationships with them that may lead to other visits or purchases. It helps me keep this site alive and running. Thanks!

You may use patterns to make items to sell on a small scale, for example at craft fairs, but you may not mass produce items.

If the item is damaged whilst in the Royal Mail care, then this is the responsibility of the Royal Mail and not Ruby In The Dust.  We cannot be held responsible for damage to goods, or whilst in transit, as this is out of the seller's control.

  •  The seller shall not be liable for any direct, indirect, special or consequential loss or damage including loss of profit or any other form of compensation.  Nothing in these terms and conditions shall be construed to limit the seller’s liability for death or personal injury caused by its negligence.

  •   This does not affect your statutory rights.

  1. Delivery
  •   Goods supplied within the U.K. will normally be delivered within 2-3 working days of acceptance of order, but please allow up to 7 working days due to occasional matters out of our control for example postal strikes.

  •   Delivery of the goods shall be made to the buyer’s address specified by them on the order and the buyer shall make all arrangements necessary to take delivery of the goods whenever they are tendered for delivery.

  •  If delivery cannot be made to the buyer’s address, the seller will inform the buyer as soon as possible, and refund the buyer for any sum that has been paid.

  •   Every reasonable effort will be made to deliver the goods as soon as possible after the order has been accepted.  Any dates specified by the seller for the delivery of goods are intended to be an estimate and time of delivery shall not be made of the essence.  However, the seller will not be liable for any loss or damage suffered by the buyer through any reasonable or unavoidable delay in delivery.  In this case, the seller will inform the buyer as soon as possible.

  •  If the buyer has purchased item(s) on the website and lives locally, they can collect the item(s) by strict prior arrangement.

  1. Cancellation and Return
  •  The buyer shall inspect the goods immediately upon receipt and shall notify the seller via email within 48 hours of delivery if the goods are damaged or do not comply with any of the contract.  If the buyer fails to do so, the buyer shall be deemed to have accepted the goods.

  •  Where a claim of defect or damage is made, the goods shall be returned by the buyer to the seller, along with written details of the defect or damage.  The buyer shall be entitled to a full refund (including delivery costs) plus any return postal charges if the goods are in fact defective.

  •   The buyer has the right to cancel the contract at any time up to the end of seven working days after the goods are received.  A working day is any day other than weekends and bank holidays.

  •  Goods must be returned by the buyer at the buyer’s expense.  The buyer will receive a refund of all monies paid for the goods (excluding all delivery and return charges) within 30 days or cancellation.  If the buyer fails to return the goods within 30 days following cancellation, the seller shall be entitled to deduct the costs of recovering the goods from the buyer.
